The Denver Nuggets' loss to the Houston Rockets on Saturday proved costly in more ways than one.
Head coach David Adelman has been fined $35,000 by the NBA on Sunday for directing inappropriate language toward game officials and failing to leave the court in a timely manner following his ejection.
Adelman received a second technical foul at the 8:40 mark of the fourth quarter of the 115-101 loss and was subsequently ejected when his comments were made.
The defeat snapped a six-game win streak for the Nuggets, now 20-7 and still second in the Western Conference.
